DJ Godson, real name Maurice Fawkes, is a native of Nassau, Bahamas, a vibrant DJ, an appointed Minister at Great Assignment Kingdom Ministries #2 Church, and an inspiring motivational speaker. His passion for music was previously evident in the secular arena where he was known as DJ Sly Fox. After 18 years of playing in the secular arena he experienced an encounter with his Creator that transformed his life. At the end of 2009, his passion to DJ renewed, he was back on the wheels of steel but this time for the glorification of his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ; not as Sly Fox but as DJ Godson being used by God to witness to souls, and to edify the body of Christ through Gospel music. He has won the Elevation Award for Party DJ of the year for 2020 – 2021, Radio Personality of the Year at the Bahamas Gospel Music Awards in 2021 and 2022, and was nominated for Radio Personality of the Year for 2023.
