LAUGHTER & JAZZ
Music and the Word Ministry is a dynamic youth-led Christian movement founded in 2018 by Jeromy Thomas, with a mission to inspire deeper relationships with God through music and ministry. What began as a small Adventist Youth initiative has grown into a ministry made up of talented young musicians, worship leaders, and creatives committed to faith, service, and community impact. The ministry combines worship, outreach, and creative arts to encourage transformation within churches and communities. Since 2024, Music and the Word has produced the flagship gospel event for the Bridgetown International Arts Festival while continuing to lead outreach and youth engagement initiatives across Barbados.

Nikhyl Burnett and Abianna Fenty represent a new generation of emerging Barbadian creatives contributing to the island’s gospel and performing arts landscape.
Nikhyl is a talented saxophonist whose performances at NIFCA and other cultural events have earned commendation, including a Gold Award for his rendition of Still I Rise.
Abianna is a vocalist, musician, and spoken-word artist who has gained recognition for her involvement in worship and cultural productions while pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree at The University of the West Indies, Cave Hill.
Together, they bring youthful creativity, musical excellence, and inspiring artistic expression to Barbados Gospelfest 2026.
